About the index
The IPOX® Greater China Index (IPCT) follows eligible companies originating from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan that trade outside mainland China. It focuses on the development of newly public businesses, including IPOs and spin-offs, within the IPOX® China Composite Index framework.
Greater China companies in international markets
The geographic scope is based on a company's origins and its eligible listing venue. This brings together Greater China businesses accessing public investors outside mainland China's domestic A-share markets.
The portfolio can span different industries and stages of corporate development. Its country and sector mix follows the eligible universe and changes with new listings, market values and corporate actions.
Selection and portfolio weights
Companies are ranked by market capitalization and assessed against liquidity and exposure criteria. The index applies market capitalization weights with a 10% constituent cap at rebalancing. Market movements can cause weights to drift between reviews.
Membership and weights are reviewed quarterly to maintain the portfolio's focus on eligible Greater China new listings.
