About the index
The IPOX® Health Innovation Index (IPHI) follows healthcare and biotechnology businesses connected to the development and commercialization of medical innovation. Its universe includes recent listings, spin-offs, SPAC-related companies and established businesses that acquire healthcare innovation through IPO-related transactions.
Connecting research with healthcare delivery
The portfolio spans several parts of the healthcare economy. Biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies develop medicines, including treatments for diseases with limited existing options. Medical technology businesses provide devices, diagnostic tools and other equipment used in care. Healthcare services companies support the delivery, administration and financing of treatment.
The selection can therefore include both emerging developers and established businesses bringing products to larger markets. The mix of company sizes and activities changes as eligible companies list, develop and participate in acquisitions.
Selection and quarterly review
The index applies IPOX® criteria covering market capitalization, trading liquidity and relevant corporate activity. This connects the healthcare theme with the IPOX® new listings and IPO M&A universe.
The portfolio is rebalanced quarterly. These reviews update its composition and weights as the eligible universe develops.
Interpreting the portfolio
IPHI provides a thematic reference for healthcare innovation across global markets. Its composition reflects the eligible companies selected under the methodology, with portfolio details and performance reported in the dated fact sheet.
For complete selection and maintenance provisions, consult Rulebook & Regulations. The index is available for licensing, benchmarking and portfolio applications.
