About the index
The IPOX® Global Nordic Index (IPND) follows eligible newly public companies originating from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Its selection universe includes Nordic businesses listed on exchanges outside the region, reflecting the international routes these companies take to public markets.
Nordic companies across listing venues
The index connects company origins with new listing activity. A business may join public markets through an IPO or become independently traded through a spin-off. Eligible Nordic companies are assessed within the IPOX® Global Composite Index framework, regardless of whether their listing venue is local or overseas.
This produces a portfolio whose country and industry composition changes with the available universe. Sector weights emerge from the selected companies and their market values, rather than from fixed allocations to individual industries.
Selection and rebalancing
Companies are ranked by market capitalization and assessed against liquidity and exposure criteria. Market capitalization weighting gives larger eligible companies a greater influence on index performance, subject to the relevant methodology provisions.
Membership and weights are reviewed quarterly, allowing the portfolio to incorporate eligible new listings and respond to changes in existing constituents.
Portfolio context
IPND provides a focused reference for studying Nordic companies after their public-market debut, including businesses whose activities and investors extend beyond the region.
The dated fact sheet presents index statistics and performance. Full construction and maintenance provisions are available through Rulebook & Regulations. The IPOX® 100 Europe Index offers wider European coverage.
