About the index
IPOX® Canada Opportunities (ICDX) follows Canadian companies entering public markets through IPOs, spin-offs and other eligible corporate transactions. Its universe also includes qualifying companies involved in acquisitions of recent IPOs, connecting new listing activity with the wider Canadian equity market.
Following Canada's public-company pipeline
The portfolio provides a view of businesses as they develop a public trading record. A newly listed company may be raising capital for expansion, while a spin-off may establish an existing business as an independently traded company. These different routes to the market contribute to a changing selection of Canadian issuers.
Sector exposure follows the eligible universe. The portfolio can therefore evolve as companies from different industries list and as existing constituents change in size or undergo corporate actions.
Portfolio construction
Selection applies IPOX® size, liquidity and exposure criteria. Constituents are weighted by market capitalization, with a 10% cap per company at rebalancing. The cap limits a single company's starting weight at a review; subsequent market movements can change the balance of the portfolio.
The portfolio is reconstituted and rebalanced quarterly to reflect changes in the eligible Canadian universe.
