About the index
The IPOX® Bond Indexes follow corporate debt issued by companies in the IPOX® universe. They extend the new listings framework into fixed income, covering eligible issuers connected to IPOs, direct listings, spin-offs and acquisitions of recently public companies.
One issuer universe, several credit segments
The family separates the corporate bond universe into broad and focused portfolios:
- IPOX® Aggregate Bond Index (IPOXTD): Market value-weighted coverage of investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds from eligible IPOX® issuers.
- IPOX® High Yield Bond Index (IPXUHYG): A focused view of the below-investment-grade segment.
- IPOX® Liquid Investment Grade Bond Index (IPXULQD): Exposure to the liquid investment-grade segment of the eligible corporate bond universe.
Following the debt of IPOX® companies
A company's equity and its bonds represent different claims on the same business. The bond indexes allow the financing and credit-market performance of eligible issuers to be studied alongside their equity-market development.
Bond returns reflect interest income and changes in market prices. Credit quality, maturity and changes in interest rates can influence the characteristics of each portfolio. The relevant index documentation defines security eligibility, weighting and maintenance.
