About the index
The IPOX® 100 Europe Index (IPOE) brings together 100 of the largest and most liquid eligible European companies in the IPOX® new listings universe. It covers IPOs, spin-offs and select acquirers of recent IPOs, following businesses through their early years in public markets.
European origins, international reach
A European company may choose a domestic exchange or an overseas listing venue. The methodology allows eligible businesses with European origins to enter the index when they list in the United States, extending coverage beyond Europe's local exchanges.
The universe includes the United Kingdom, continental Europe and the Nordic region. Country and industry weights reflect the eligible companies selected at each review and change with listing activity, market capitalization and corporate actions.
Selection and maintenance
- Eligibility: Companies are drawn from the IPOX® composite universe and assessed against size, liquidity and exposure criteria.
- Listing window: The underlying methodology generally follows new listings for 1,000 trading days, approximately four years, with exceptions set out in the rulebook.
- Weighting: Modified market capitalization weights apply, with a 10% constituent cap at rebalancing. Weights can drift between reviews.
- Review cycle: Membership and weights are reviewed quarterly in March, June, September and December.
