About the index
The GINDEX® International Growth Infusion Index (GNDXI) follows international companies that have acquired a 100% interest in businesses that became publicly traded through IPOs, direct listings or spin-offs outside the United States. It extends the IPOX® IPO M&A framework to eligible non-U.S. markets.
International companies acquiring new listings
The portfolio links newly public businesses with the established companies that acquire them. Following an acquisition, a target's technology, products or customer relationships can become part of the acquiring company's wider operations.
This provides a way to study the new listings ecosystem through changes in ownership across markets. Eligible acquirers can come from Europe, Asia-Pacific, Canada and other non-U.S. regions, with country and industry weights evolving as qualifying transactions change the universe.
Portfolio construction
GNDXI uses equal weighting, giving constituents comparable starting weights at each rebalance. Relative weights subsequently move with market prices.
The index is reconstituted and rebalanced quarterly. These reviews refresh membership and weights as new qualifying acquisitions and other relevant company developments occur.
A complementary perspective
The GINDEX® U.S. Growth Infusion Index applies the approach to acquirers of businesses listed through eligible U.S. transactions. Together, the two indexes provide regional perspectives on IPO M&A activity.
Consult the dated fact sheet for portfolio statistics and performance, and Rulebook & Regulations for full eligibility and maintenance provisions. The index is available for licensing and benchmarking applications.
