Traffic statistics
We use aggregate statistics to understand which pages and documents are useful and improve this website.
Basic counters combine page views and document requests by UTC hour and page. They do not store IP addresses, IP hashes, visitor identifiers, browser or device details, or exact visit times. For country summaries, we briefly use the connection IP address to estimate country locally and keep daily page-and-country request counts, plus separate daily country totals by activity type for IP-free audience reports, for up to 365 days. These basic statistics use no analytics cookies or browser storage. Matching requests increment the same count. Hourly counts are kept for up to 90 days and daily totals for up to 365 days.
If you accept Measurement in Cookie preferences, we also keep individual page and download activity with your IP address for 90 days. With consent, a 30-minute first-party cookie groups page views into visits to estimate time on page, bounce rate and exit rate. Page-session records use the same retention as IP activity. Changing your consent stops future individual recording and session measurement. Aggregate counts do not identify unique people.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control prevent individual IP recording, device statistics and session measurement; basic page and country counts still apply. This existing browser exclusion control remains available for saved preferences. It excludes both kinds of statistics and remembers only your choice for one year.
