Reuters: IPOX® VP Kat Liu Comments on Iambic Therapeutics’ AI Drug Discovery Platform and IPO Valuation
Reuters reports that Nvidia-backed Iambic Therapeutics is seeking to raise up to $159.4 million through its U.S. IPO, targeting a valuation of up to $805.8 million. The drugmaker is offering approximately 9.38 million shares at $15–$17 each and plans to list on Nasdaq under the ticker IAM.
IPOX® Vice President Kat Liu provided analysis of Iambic’s business model and valuation. “I would characterize it as a clinical-stage biotech company with an AI-enhanced drug discovery platform, rather than a pure AI play,” Liu told Reuters.
She added that its valuation depends primarily on the strength of its drug pipeline and the likelihood of eventual approval and commercialization.
Iambic uses AI to develop treatments for solid tumors and has partnerships with AbbVie and Takeda Pharmaceutical. Its offering comes as biotech continues to attract investor interest amid a broader IPO market constrained by rising Treasury yields, market volatility, and geopolitical tensions. ARK Investment Management and Duquesne Family Office have indicated interest in purchasing $60 million worth of shares.
