Reuters: IPOX® Associate Lukas Muehlbauer Comments on Fall IPO Market as Holtec Targets $10.2 Billion Valuation

Holtec Nuclear is targeting a valuation of up to $10.2 billion in its U.S. IPO, seeking to raise as much as $900 million through an offering of 50 million shares priced between $15 and $18. The planned Nasdaq and Nasdaq Texas listing comes as the post-Labor Day IPO window begins, traditionally one of the busiest periods of the year for new issuance.

Reuters cited IPOX® Research Associate Lukas Muehlbauer on the importance of early fall IPO performance in shaping the broader dealmaking environment. Muehlbauer noted that successful debuts could encourage additional issuers to enter the market, while weak pricing or aftermarket performance could constrain the opportunity for subsequent listings.

He also said economic fundamentals, market conditions and the Federal Reserve’s September meeting are expected to be key drivers of the IPO market, with limited impact from this year’s midterm elections.

“The companies that go public first will also set the stage, with strong showings potentially encouraging more listings to come to market, while mispriced deals or poor aftermarket performances could narrow the window,” IPOX® Research Associate Lukas Muehlbauer said.

Holtec’s offering also extends a recent wave of nuclear-sector IPO activity, following traditional listings by X-energy and Standard Nuclear earlier in 2026. Reuters noted that rising electricity demand associated with data-center development has helped renew interest in nuclear power and related technologies.
